The founder of Glocality, Aatreyi Dhar, realised the importance of the proper availability of resources required for people development. As an avid traveller and a passionate hotelier, she realised that there were so many ways that hospitality across the world could be improved. Her firm belief that hospitality is an 'experience' and not just standard responses to situations made her adamant to be able to help the hospitality sector by bringing in experts from the field to help them interact with key stakeholders of a business.
Aatreyi was born in Delhi and has stayed across multiple cities in India throughout her childhood. Her high schooling was in Nigeria and thereafter she choose to come back to India to study hotel management at the Institute of Hotel Management in Kolkata. Right after, she was hand picked for the two year post graduate diploma and be a part of The Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, the prestigious management training program run by Oberoi Hotels and Resorts in India. After eight years of constant learning and professional growth with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, she decided to quit her well-established career as a Training Manager and take a leap of faith as she decided to pursue her MBA in Hospitality, with a specialization in Marketing, from Les Roches in Switzerland. While she did ace her course, it was her dissertation and projects there helped her to understand different cultures and their take on hospitality, enabling her to form Glocality.
